Concert Instrument Performance Festival is an adjudicated, non-competitive opportunity for students

NCMTA Concert Instrument Performance Festival

A valuable opportunity

NCMTA continues to provide ways to increase our service to our membership and to North Carolina musicians of all ages. The Concert Instrument Performance Festival, a division of the NCMTA Performance Festival, provides a valuable opportunity for wind and string players to perform for the state’s top adjudicators.

How it works

Participants register for the Junior or Senior level, based on their two repertoire selections, and submit recordings online. New to the Performance Festival, there is also a collegiate level for musicians enrolled at North Carolina colleges and universities.

Performance Festival Information

  • Our NCMTA Performance Festivals are held in the early part of each year in two phases – District and State.
  • Students eligible to participate in the State Festival are those who earned Highest Honors at District.
  • REGISTRATION for this year’s performance festivals is now closed.
  • Students earning Highest Honors at both State and District levels are eligible to perform in the Honors Recitals at conference.

IMPORTANT: As you register, you will see date and location information on the registration form. When button is grey, registration is not active.

HONORS RECITAL

Students who earn Highest Honors at the State Level performance festival are invited to perform in the Honors Recital at the annual conference. Information regarding participation in the honors recital is emailed to teachers of eligible students.
