NCMTA Concert Instrument Performance Festival
A valuable opportunity
NCMTA continues to provide ways to increase our service to our membership and to North Carolina musicians of all ages. The Concert Instrument Performance Festival, a division of the NCMTA Performance Festival, provides a valuable opportunity for wind and string players to perform for the state’s top adjudicators.
The inaugural festival took place online during September and October of 2021. Outstanding participants were invited to participate in the Honors Recital during the NCMTA annual conference.
How it works
Participants register for the Junior or Senior level, based on their two repertoire selections, and submit recordings online. New to the Performance Festival, there is also a collegiate level for musicians enrolled at North Carolina colleges and universities.
Annual Festival Information
Our Performance Festival is held annually in the early part of the year, in two phases – District and State. In 2022, our Festivals were held online. District and State phases have now concluded.
Plans for the 2023 performance festivals are in the works. See you next year!
