NCMTA Announcements News-Blog: An Introduction!

NCMTA News-Blog helps you stay informed …

For news about the professional accomplishments of colleagues, organizational advancement, events on the horizon and more, stay tuned to our NCMTA News-Blog. This post is the opening one on our website. Greetings!

How to Use this News-Blog …

Click through posts easily using the next story and previous story arrows – you can find those arrows at the top of the right hand side bar on any post. Search for posts and pages on topics of interest by clicking and of the search categories below, using the search bars found throughout the site, or browsing the “related” and “you may also like” suggestions at the bottom of each post.

What is a Post …

Posts are succinct, and often short-lived, blurb-type articles about time sensitive things like event dates or application periods. The NCMTA News-Blog is made up of posts.

Desktops, tablets and phones …

Our NCMTA website behaves and displays differently on different types of devices. This is intentional and is called responsive design, which allows the best possible viewing experience for all users. For example,

  • on a desktop computer, the sidebars on the left and right side of each post are fully visible.
  • On a tablet computer, the sidebars stay to the left and right but are collapsed by default if your screen is small enough. On a larger tablet, you may find the left sidebar visible and the right sidebar collapsed. Click the double arrows to view or hide the sidebars.
  • On a mobile phone, the sidebars become stacking columns that you scroll up and down to see. The top navigation bar becomes a “hamburger menu.”

Things That Move …

There is subtle animation throughout, to add some fun and to help guide you. For example, blog excerpts scroll by themselves, hovering might change the size of a link.
