Events & Registration:
MTNAPerformance Competitions

The 2020 NCMTA-MTNA Student Performance Competitions registration deadline is fast approaching: Wednesday, September 16 at 3 p.m., EDT.

The application is available on the MTNA website, where you will also find all competition procedures, including repertoire guidelines and regulations.

This year at the state level we will conduct the competitions online. We will be utilizing unlisted YouTube videos for the adjudication process. These videos will need to be uploaded by Wednesday, October 7 at 3 p.m., EDT, which is several weeks earlier than if the competitions were in their typical, live format in conjunction with the NCMTA Fall Conference. We encourage teachers and students to begin the process of recording as soon as possible. Click here for guidelines related to producing competition videos.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Uploading videos to YouTube will occur after the registration deadline of September 16. You will receive further instructions from the competition coordinators regarding this process once your registration is complete.

This will be a unique experience for all of us, but we suspect that it will be no less rewarding than the in-person version!
